On the 26th of March the 3Rock Youth’s Substance Schools Team ran its 5th Advance schools day with 150 4th year students.

Taney Parish; 150 transition year students and 9 3Rock team members pile into the hall and get ready to start a day of exploring the topic ‘More than Existing’.

I have to admit, I was quite nervous, but excited too! This was a fantastic opportunity to get all the different schools together; intergrate,socialise and discuss where they come from and just enjoy hanging out together. Needless to say the students really participated and because of that interaction these days go so well. We played games and Stephen Byford told his Story and I spoke on doing our days theme “More than existing’, what it is to choose to step away from negative experiences and how to go forward with their lives in the knowledge that they do have a God that truly loves them!

We would like to thank all the Chaplains for bringing their students and also for supporting us in this. We are already planning fro next year and can’t wait to visit the schools and see where the students are heading in the future!
