Escalate
Escalate, the second in the Crucial series, looks at the topic of image and identity.
Unless we know God we cannot truly know ourselves.
How we think about ourselves, the world and even God are influenced by many things around us. Take the media for example, TV, movies, magazines, advertising,every day we’re swamped with thousands of images telling us who we should be, or could be if only we tried hard enough.
What’s on the DVD?
There are four main sections to the dvd:

Messenger | Over 3 segments, Escalate’s messenger, Jude Trenier (formerly of Scripture Union, Ireland), explores issues surrounding image and identity. |

My Story | Jill Deering , a singer/songwriter from Co. Kildare, Ireland, tells us about her personal story of faith in this short film. |

Leader To Leader | A short video for leaders looking at 3 areas of youth ministry. Derek Switzer talks with Greg about teamwork, integrity and longevity. |

My Image | A versatile short film comprising a collection of drawings by students expressing the issues they face as teenagers. |

- Escalate Exploration Worksheet – This worksheet challenges us to consider what influences us, and to begin to ask how God see us.
- Escalate Destination Worksheet – Give this worksheet to your group to take home and work through individually, if they want to further explore how they see themselves and how God sees them.
- Escalate Thematic Bible Study- This worksheet is a thematic Bible study based on Psalm 139, exploring further some of the issues of image and identity discussed in Escalate. It can be used individually or in further group sessions.
